Chief Master Sergeant Ray Rendon passed away on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at the age of 68 years old, in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Ray enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967 and served three years active duty then join the reserves for 30 years. He served his country for a total of 33 years. Throughout his career he was in the Aerial Port Squadron. He traveled almost all around the world on different missions. In 2005 Ray was selected Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year. His picture hung in the US Pentagon for one year those were big accomplishments for Ray we were very proud. He is preceded in death by his Parents Ramon and Natalia Rendon, and stepmom Dora Rendon, Brothers Roland Rendon and Rudy Garcia, and his father-in-law Harold Shirley. He is survived by his beloved wife Karen, his children Philip Ray, Veronica Raquel, Heather (Jason) Phillips, Brandy (Danny) Casey, Mother-in-law Helen Shirley, Siblings, Ramiro (Sylvia) Rendon, Rose Marie (Nick) Garza, Alfonso (Jenn) Garcia, Gilbert (Debbie) Garcia, Marie Esparza, Linda (Henry) Ortiz, sister-in-laws, Melody Robinson and Susan Lee, Granddaughters Berlyn & Cheyenne Rae, Grandsons Brandon,Wyatt, Ben, and Noah, Numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Special thanks to the "Rendon Raiders" a special group of men and women who worked alongside at Lackland AFB, Little Rock AFB, Colorado Springs AFB, March Air Reserve Base in Mo Valley California, Carswell Naval Base, Homestead AFB in the 33 years of service to his country.
The Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home 226 Cupples Road from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Memorial Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
