Pauline was raised in the Edgewood School District on farming land that her parents, Antonia Zamarron and Henry F. Vidal brought in 1951. In school, she loved to color. A neighbor worked in an art store in town and would buy Pauline pencils for school. He would also give her colored chalk to use which she loved using them. In junior high, Pauline took art classes and learned a lot of things from the teacher. In her senior year in high school, she took art and was able to work in clay, charcoal, and painting. Pauline was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. She was a CCD teacher at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church for many years. Pauline will be forever known for her generosity and her activities with St. Alphonsus and St. Timothy Catholic Church.
Pauline loved to create art and make people happy by giving them her work. She took art classes at Casitas and was able to learn about art. She found enjoyment in crafting and painting even with the pains of arthritis, carpal tunnel, and cataracts. Colors became hard to distinguish and the use of her right hand slowly diminished but they did not stop her from painting. Pauline was very passionate about her work. Everything she painted was based on memories of all the places she would travel, from the west coast to Mexico. She would paint her grandfather’s house, the little houses on the clock, and the church she was baptized at.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Henry F. Vidal and Antonia Zamarron; brothers, Luis Z. Vidal, Gilbert Z. Vidal, Henry Z. Vidal; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
