Paul was an Air Force veteran. He served in Southeast Asia during Vietnam and was deployed during Desert Storm. He was a Pharmacist in the medical wing, and at one point ran the largest in-patient pharmacy in the Air Force at Wilford Hall, Lackland AFB, TX. He retired in 1998 as an Lt Colonel after 24 years of service.
Paul had many passions outside of work. He loved motorcycles, was an audiophile, loved fishing and hunting, collecting knives, guns and custom cue sticks. He played table tennis and 9-Ball. He cooked, grilled and said everything he made was “famous”. He was passionate about his family and friends and we will all miss his directness, his kind heart and gentle soul that hid under his firm exterior.
Paul is preceded in death by his Mother, Doris Seward, his father and stepmother, Al & Ann Seward, his brother in laws, Noel Gilliams, John Mais and nephew Matt Baker. Paul is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Seward, daughter Erika Seward of Converse, TX, son Alex Seward (Taylor) of Evansville, IN; brother Todd Seward (Pam) of CO; and sisters Susan Gilliams of WA, Alison Andersen (FL), Jeananne Seward (FL) and Sarah Lamont (FL), many nieces and nephews, brother and sister in-laws, and too many friends to count.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 20th from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Sunset North Funeral Home, with a Graveside Service to follow at 2:45 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #5.
