Oralia V. Medina

Oralia Medina was born on May 18, 1929 passed away October 14, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe A. Medina Sr. and daughter Diane Winegeart. Ora was a faithful Mother, Grandmother and Friend to everyone. Her love of life giving joy and laughter will always be remembered. She is survived by her children Joe A. Medina Jr. and wife Diane R. Medina, Norma J. Medina, and Roland Medina ; grandchildren Monique, Jeremy, Yvette, Vanessa, Angel, and Jason; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends. Ora was a lifetime member and active volunteer at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church and always attended Sunday mass to serve the lord. Her favorite hymn, Open the eyes of my heart Lord, would be heard often in her home as a testament to her faith. Her eyes are open and her heart at peace rejoicing in the kingdom of paradise. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 6:30 P.M. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 12:30 P.M. for a 1:00 P.M. mass at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
