Olga Evelyn Macias, 71, passed away on the evening of September 23, 2021. She was born December 29, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to Otilia Cordero and Jesus Macias. She graduated from St. Francis Academy 1968. Not long after graduation, she began a 35-year career at City Public Service. Olga was a single mother of 3 children, Christopher, Jessica, and Solomon. She was a devoted mother who was determined to provide for her children and her strength and resiliency will always be remembered and inspiring. Olga was grandmother to four grandchildren, Ashley, Miranda, Elianna, and Gabriel. She was a mother-in-law to Yliana (wife of Christopher) and Scottie (husband of Jessica). She was a sister to Grace, Nelda, Johnny, and Rey. She had numerous nieces and nephews as well as friends.
She will be dearly missed by her dog and loving companion Coco, and her cats Hadassah and Baby. Olga loved bird watching, beautiful trees, working puzzles and word puzzles, arts and crafts, Spurs basketball games, Costco, Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, 1960’s music, and country dancing. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generous smile, and gentle demeanor.
We invite all family and friends to attend a Celebration of Life and Rosary. Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Little Flower Basilica Catholic Church, 824 Kentucky Avenue, 78201 with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery # 2
