June 5, 1939 – October, 29 2016
Monique peacefully went to be with her lord the morning of October 29, 2016 In San Antonio, Texas. Monique passed peacefully while in the comfort of her home, holding her loving husband Raymond’s hand.
Monique was born June 5, 1939 in Dange’ France to Joseph Sabourault and Aimee Pichon Sabourault. She lived an active and enthusiastic life.
She met the love of her life Raymond in France in 1955, where they dated until Raymond had to leave in 1957. In 1960 a blessing of military orders returned Raymond to France where he married the love of his life, Monique in 1964. The two soul mates lived a lively marriage full of travel, love, family, adventure, and of course great French wine. They traveled to 12 different countries together throughout their careers.
Monique spent her life loving others, always so full of energy and always on the go doing something and helping someone. She was a supportive and loving wife to Raymond, a passionate and giving mother to her only son Charly (and his wife Mary), a doting and generous Nanny to her grandchildren Chris and Laura whom she loved dearly. They were always in her conversations with others. She would have climbed the highest mountain for them if she had to. Monique became part of everyone she met, always willing to give and love others. A friend of Monique was a friend for life. She was a gourmet cook and served inspiring meals all over the world; from friends, doctors to military generals. She had a love of gardening and enjoyed being surrounded by flowers, spent her life as a dedicated hard worker, a gracious friend, and enjoyed the ease of a nice glass of French Boudreaux wine.
Monique is preceded in death by her mother and father Aimee & Joseph Sabourault, sisters Jacqueline Sabourault and Ginette Therrien. She is succeeded in death by her loving husband Raymond David McEntyre Jr, son Charly Joseph and his wife Mary, grandchildren Christopher Raymond and Laura Christine McEntyre, sister Paulette Guimbaud and her children, niece and nephews Fabien Vaucelle, Didier, Allan and Patrick DeForge.
