Michael was an extremely hard working man who had a very long and impressive career in the Air Force, serving for 20 years. He earned such accommodations as the Air Force Commendation Medal. Towards the end of his career he retired from the Air Force and worked at Randolph Air Force Base as a site manager for LB& B on the T45. When Michael wasn’t hard at work he enjoyed many different hobbies throughout his life, he enjoyed working on cars, hunting in Idaho, bowling, photography and stamp/coin collecting. A hobby that he began when he was little and his dad was stationed in Japan.
He also enjoyed watching old TV programs like Gunsmoke & MASH, he belong to the NRA, and later in life he loved riding his Harley- Davidson. But the time he spent with his family brought him the greatest joy of his life.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of almost 40years Suzanne, his sons; Jason Sweatt and wife Rachel, grandchildren Abbie and Daniel Sweatt, and his son David Sweatt. He also survived by his one sister Dale Slack and her husband Greg, his niece Shawna McDonald, and nephew Garrett Slack.
He is proceeded in passing by both of his parents Kirby & Ina Sweatt, all of his grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held on June 4, 2021 4:00pm-8:00pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX.
