Mary Castro Luna

Mary C. Luna, born on May 16, 1923 in Torreon, Coahuila, MX, was called home to be with the Lord, on October 18, 2015 in San Antonio, TX, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank N. Luna, her parents Israel Contreras & Apolonia Contreras-Castro, brother Andres R. Castro (Asuncion) and granddaughter Deborah Ann Valdez. Mary is survived by her beloved children; Alicia Gonzales (+ William), Richard C. Luna (Teresa), Irene Lapasnick (Michael), grandchildren; Monica, William III, Richard Jr., Eric, Michelle, Chris, 16 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. for a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
