He lived a life full of memories and left a mark on every person he met. From his time serving our country in Vietnam to his various careers and his final days surrounded by family, he brought warmth, humor, and love into every moment. He was a people person, always ready for a good conversation, the center of any gathering, a talented chef who prepared extravagant meals, a lover of dancing, creative and a devoted caretaker to his cherished cats. He was truly one of a kind and unforgettable.
Although he now resides in his heavenly home, he will be deeply missed by his family: Sister Cindy Espinosa, brother in- law Terry Peterson; daughters Rebecca Gutierrez (his mini-me), Mary Isabel Hardesty(his Selena), and Raquel Gutierrez (baby candy girl); son Martin Gutierrez III(his legacy); sons-in-law Eddie (known as “Silverback”), Matthew Hardesty (whom he affectionately called “Holy Man”), Peter (whom needed no nickname”, and daughter -in- law Melissa); grandchildren Johnathan, Julian, Victoria, Sandra, Neomi, Seath, Desiree, and Mateo; and great-grandchildren Aieden, Lliam, Triston, Wyatt, Xiomara, and Lionel, and many other extended family members.
He is reunited in peace with his parents, brother (Carlos), sister (Shirley the firecracker), and wife Teresa Montes Gutierrez (Munchkin), who preceded him in death. While his physical presence is gone, the love, laughter, and dents or moments he gave us will live on forever in our hearts.
