Marta Quintero Zepeda

Marta Quintero Zepeda born on November 28, 1965 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with the Lord on July 12, 2014 at the age of 48. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was a 1984 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Education. Marta was a special needs teacher at Jackson Keller Elementary School. She was very exceptional teacher and mother with high expectations. She was blessed with a gift for reaching out to many of her students who needed help to become successful adults. Marta had a beautiful spirit for loving music and dancing. She enjoyed painting, drawing, traveling and the beach. Marta is preceded in death by her father, Luis Quintero. She is survived by her husband, Michael L. Zepeda; son, Dallas Vasquez; daughters, Starr Vasquez and Emily Zepeda; mother, Mrs. Maria Angela Quintero; father-in-law, Ignacio L. Zepeda, mother-in-law, Carmen Zepeda; brothers and sisters, Luis Quintero Jr. (Hope), Maria Lourdes Quintero, Monica Lyons (Louis), Antonio Quintero (Sylvia), Miguel Quintero (Tamara), Francis Joseph Quintero (Dora) and Rosemary Garcia; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. for a 12:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. John Berchmans’ Catholic Church. In celebration of Marta’s life, the Family would like to request for all guests to dress in bright color clothing for Marta’s Visitation, Rosary, and Mass. Services will conclude at the church.
