Maria Nicolasa Oquendo born on September 10, 1947 in Talia, Coahuila, Mexico went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2013 at the age of 66. She is preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Galaviz Briones. She is survived by her beloved husband: Candido Oquendo; sons: Jose Luis Ibarra (Juanita), Antonio Oquendo, Juan Manuel Oquendo, George Oquendo (Rosie), and Jesus Briones; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Vicenta Rodriguez and Adelita Morales; brothers, Ignacio Briones and Jose Luis Briones; also, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday December 5, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Christ The King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery NO.3.
