Maria C. Morales, born in San Antonio, Texas on November 2, 1917 went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2016 at the age of 98. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alejos Morales Sr., and her daughter, Gloria Ruiz. She is survived by her sons, Alejos Morales Jr. (Angela) and Rosendo Morales (Anna), as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Maria was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a caring “memer” grandmother who loved her family and who enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main Ave., from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Church.
