She is preceded in death by her parents, Damacio & Andrellita Galvan; beloved husband, Rodolfo V. Herrera; brothers, Lupe, Bausilio, Jose, Isidro and Natividad and sisters, Maria and Margarita.
She is survived by her children, RosaLinda Cruz (✞Erasmo), Rudy Herrera, Ruby Martinez (✞Steve), Ruth Glen, Romelia Hernandez, Rita Chavarria (Manuel), Rachel Brown, Rebecca Ybarra, Ramona Miller, Robert Herrera (Tammy) and Roxanne Abrego (Rogelio); grandchildren, Veronica, Erasmo, Brenda, RosaLinda, Christopher, Thomas, Kevin, Shawn, Alexis, Zully, Zoe, Syi, Rudolfo, Joe John, Marc, Adrian, Brenda, Maribel, Manuel, Liz, Grisilda, James, Demitrious, Tristian, Racine, Latrisha, Samantha, LaShauna, DeUndray, Ebony, Sammy, Breanna, Ramon, Ashley and Jasmine; 63 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
Maria dedicated her life to her family, always nurturing and supporting her loved ones. She taught her children the meaning of strength, resilience, and unconditional love. Her ability to face challenges with grace and determination inspired everyone who knew her. She enjoyed shopping, and playing bingo, but above all she loved spending time with her family. Her warmth and generosity will be deeply missed.
A Visitation for Maria will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd, 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Thursday, October 3, 2024 a Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
