Beloved Maria Dolores (Ling, Lola) Garza was escorted peacefully and angelically into eternity to Her Lord Jesus Christ on February 9th. Preceded by her grandmother, mother Ana Flores; brothers, Francisco Flores, John Garcia; daughter Maria Ana, and son Frankie H. Flores; she is survived by her husband of 65 years Arthur Garza; brother Joe; sons, Arthur G. (Alisa,) John V. (Debra) and Anthony D.; daughters Dorothy ( James,) Beatrice and Patricia (Mike). The Garza's have 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Born April 12th 1931 and raised on the island of Guam by her single mom and grandparents; Lola survived the Japanese occupation of Guam during WWII. She met serviceman Arthur on a double date with her closest cousin Nancy. She married Arthur then traveled the world and they eventually settled in their west side San Antonio home. They raised 6 children in a faithful, loving, disciplined household encouraging dreams and independence; producing pastors, teachers, legislators, nurses, service men, engineers, accountants and a responsible, hardworking generation of believers of Jesus Christ.
