It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Maria Adela Flores Garcia. She was called to our Lord October 10, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born in Santa Catalina, Durango, Mexico, December 19, 1932 to Lucas Flores Martinez and Fidencia Gonzalez Reyes. Maria is now reunited with her loving husband of 23 years, Doroteo Flores Garcia and her son Jose Manuel Flores.
Maria worked as a Home Health Provider for both Girling Home Health and Med Team Inc. Her passion was complete trust in GOD all Mighty, her Family and always helping others when in need. She enjoyed traveling (even if it was from one side of town to the other). She enjoyed gardening, especially roses, embroidering, knitting and crocheting.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Doroteo Flores Garcia; her parents, Lucas Flores Martinez and Fidencia Gonzalez Reyes; son, Jose Manuel Flores; brother, Jose Luiz Flores; sisters, Maria Elena, Flores Gonzalez, Sofia Flores Gonzalez and Julianita Flores Gonzalez.
She is survived by her son, Miguel A. Flores; daughter's, Maria De Lourdes Rivera, Elizabeth Garcia and Raquel Garcia Borjas; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Jose Manuel Flores, Jose Trinidad Flores Gonzalez, Jose Alejo Flores Gonzalez; sisters, Maria Juliana Gonzalez, Maria Del Carmen Flores De Chaires and Maria De Jesus Flores Gonzalez. Maria will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A rosary for Maria will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2610 Perez Street, San Antonio, TX 78207. An internment will occur Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd., San Antonio, TX 78214.
