Maria del "Carmen" Perez Del Rio

Maria del “Carmen” Perez Del Rio, age 65, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on July 5, 1950 in San Antonio, TX to Jose Perez Del Rio and Carmen Zuani. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

Early in her life she was a business proprietor and owner of “Nails by Carmen” in Alamo Heights. She later became a flight attendant for Continental Express Jet. She loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and loved to travel.

Carmen was preceded in death by her father Jose Perez Del Rio.

She is survived by her husband George A. Kish; 5 children, John P Goldspink and wife Terri, Jamie Goldspink and wife Camellia, Jason K. Goldspink and wife Patty, Marlo S. Kish and Ryan S. Kish and wife Trish; 10 grandchildren, Tony, Thomas, Madelaine, Xena, Ryan, Luc, Alexa, Tyler, Sara and Tanner: mother, Carmen Zuani; 6 brothers, Fernando, Jose, Edward and Ronald Perez Del Rio and Juan and Vincent Zuani; 2 sisters, Estella Cocke and Adriana Stenberg.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday February 19, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Graveside Service will be at 10:45 a.m., Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
