Maria De La Luz (Torres) Jimenez went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on September 10, 1925 in Agujita, Coahuila, Mexico to Jesus Torres and Fabiana Rubio Torres. Mrs. Jimenez was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guadalupe C. Jimenez; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. She is survived by her daughters, Dora Salas, Gloria Jalomo (Rudy), Lupita Tijerina (Robert), Blanca Garza (Albert), Maria Bishop (Harold), Josie Castaneda (Edward), Rose Ann Villarreal (Ignacio), Isabel Villarreal (Eli); sons, Pedro Jimenez (Martha), Ernest Jimenez (Maria Elena), Richard Jimenez (Lorie) and Juan Cantu; sister, Maria Guadalupe Munoz; 35 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and 4 little blessings on the way.

SERVICES

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm at the Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 10:00am at the Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
