It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Maria Camas Arzola, of San Antonio, Texas. She was called to our Lord on April 28, 2022, at the age of 91. Maria was born January 9, 1931 in Malaga, Spain to Antonio Camas & Carmen Camas Sanchez. She was married to Daniel Casanova Arzola for 50 years. Maria had a career in Education and Accounting in Malaga, Spain. She was a gifted seamstress and an avid reader who loved world history and geography.
She is preceded in death by her spouse, Daniel C. Arzola; parents, Antonio and Carmen Camas and siblings Antonio Camas and Jose Luis Camas.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses; Carmen A. Pike (Arthur J. Pike) and Irene Arzola (Louis Lopez); grandsons, Arthur and Christopher Pike as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 5:00 pm at St. John Berchman's Catholic Church with a rosary to begin at 6:00 pm. On Wednesday, May 25, 2022 a Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:45 am at St. John Berchman's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
