Mareta was born on September 10 in Western Samoa, where she spent her formative years.
Mareta is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Lillo, Sr, her son, Kevin Lillo, Jr. and her mother-in-law, Georgia A Sargent.
More than anything, Mareta was a devoted Wife and Mother. She met Kevin Sr. in Hawai'i, love at first sight. Together for 40 loving years and married for 38. Mareta and Kevin Sr. were blessed with a son, Kevin Jr. born on May 5,1985. He was her life. She loved spending time with her son, husband and mother-in-law sharing stories, watching shows, and going out to eat. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In her free time, Mareta enjoyed sharing her Samoan culture. She participated in Polynesian dancing years prior and joined the elite group Hula Halau Elikipeka. She was always eager to share her knowledge and passion of dance with others.
She was a Founder and an active member of her church - Talalelei o le Falataga. Aunty Mareta served years as the Head Deacon and in the Women’s group, Mafutaga Tina. Her love for all of the church youth brought her happiness and was a constant sponsor and never-ending support to all, who she considered to be her own kids. The number one priority was to always feed the kids and make sure they have fun.
Mareta was a hard worker and worked for the Air Force for 35 years. 28 of those years were at Randolph AFB and 7 at Laughlin AFB. Throughout her career, she was known for her amazing work ethic, dedication, and passion for helping others. She was the first one in and the last one out. Her last job, she loved and enjoyed serving the kids.
Mareta was best known for her giving, grace, and kindness. Her legacy will live on in those that had the pleasure of knowing her. She has touched so many lives and her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
