I remember him from decades ago.  He was a kind son, a very nice friend, smart, sweet brother, good husband and loving father.  I only got to meet his first wife Cathy and their daughter Melanie when she was very young.   But all the few memories I have of him were wonderful.   I know he loved his family dearly.  Praying for comfort, peace and strength for his loved ones left behind and his sister Mandi who I'm sure misses him deeply.  God bless and lots of love.

Manuel was a sincere and kind person that wanted to make a difference by his helping others. He always was smiling and tried to see the positive in everything. That is a rare gift and I will miss his smile. Peace and my prayers for his family.

We were always a little tense when we would hear HR was becoming involved in a situation.  But we were always happy to hear it was Manuel.  We knew with Manuel that we were getting someone who not only knew the job well and would give correct information, but would also put you at ease.  He was fun to be around.  

We don't really like going to trainings much, but with Manuel leading, it was entertaining and informative.  He kept the atmosphere light while handing down the heavy stuff.  He exemplified what we should be doing in the classroom.

Manuel was a great person.  I will miss him.

I sat in front of Manuel's door to his office at NVC for a few months and was in the same office area as him for my whole time here totaling a year and a half. I had many talks with him and he was always in good spirits with a smile that could brighten any room. Manuel will be missed at NVC. He was the guy who always said good morning to everyone and never had anything bad to say. We shared a love for carne guisada tacos from Lupitas on the corner of Culebra and Callaghan. He brightened my days and will be missed. Forever in my thought and prayers.

Manuel always brought a smile into the office, thus making our days that much better. I will miss you. R.I.P.

My heart goes out to Ana, Melanie and Manuelito and all of Manuel's loved ones.  We worked together for 12 years and shared many stories about our families and music, and our lives growing up.  He always had a smaile for everyone and will be missed dearly.  You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Manual was truly one of the good guys.  Never a harsh word for anyone.  It saddens me tremendously that God found the need for him early in life...God bless you wife and children.

Manuel was a good man .  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  Thank you Manuel for always being a helpful coworker and such a pleasure to work with.

Our dear Manuel is deeply missed by his HR family at Alamo Colleges.  Manuel brought a brightness to our days that cannot be replaced.  I feel blessed to have known Manuel.  His amazing smile, compassion, kindness and humanity touched me.  He left us all better people for having had the honor of his friendship.

I was so sad to hear of Manuel's passing. He was such a kind and patient man, always smiling and so helpful. I will miss working with him. My prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.  May he rest in peace.

Manuel was a gentle spirit. He will be greatly missed. May his beautiful memory be a comfort to his family.

I am so sorry to hear about Manuel.  I worked with him briefly in 2013 at Alamo Colleges.  I didn't interact with him often, but when I did, he was so genuinely nice.  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Manuel held the torch for his family, friends, and colleagues - his beacon shined brightly with his spirit. While we mourn his all-too-soon departure from us and this earth, we rejoice that he is in God's gracious company and we will see him again. God's peace and love, and my prayers to all.

Manuel was a sweet, kind soul who loved to brag about his wonderful family.  I will miss his smile and peaceful way of managing difficult situations. He helped me so many times and listened thoughtfully and patiently.  Prayers to all at this difficult time.

Manuel was always so positive to be around and always had a smile on his face. He was very professional and genuinely enjoyed helping others. He recently told me to go outside and enjoy the day simply because "it's beautiful outside right now." 

You are dearly missed my friend. May God give your family strength during this difficult time.

I miss my co-worker and dear friend who would always light up a room with his smile. He had a great sense of humor with a quick comeback that you couldn't help but burst out with laughter that I'm sure the whole office would hear at times. A great man with a heart of gold a true gem, he was a gift from God to have worked with and have as a friend.

But, my faith reminds me God has called upon him for good reason, maybe not yet understood.  I will always remember his wonderful humor, sincere heart, and big smile. Manuel was a great friend who showed empathy and always had a smile. We will definitely miss the times we shared at every UTSA Football game. Even though Manuel was a little reluctant to share a high five (he said Debbie has a strong hand) he would reach out and enjoy the moment with us. Our hearts ache with the loss of a wonderful person and special friend.

To Manuel's young family, he loved you all so much and ALWAYS talked about his son and daughter. My heart was truly broken when I heard he was gone. He worked so hard, helped so many, and was kind to everyone. Many of us truly enjoyed this man's presence. Words cannot describe or comfort the hurt of losing a great man.  Please know and believe that I hurt with you and that I am truly sorry for the loss of a great man.  Manuel, I am already missing your corny jokes and your wise email responses.

Manuel left a legacy of being courteous, kind and professional. I will remember how he talked to me about his daughter with a smile.
