Madeline Pena Davila, born on June 6, 1919, died Tuesday morning, August 7, 2012 in Leon Springs, TX. She married Manuel G. Davila on October 22, 1943. They became members of several social clubs. She helped with her husband’s career in radio and they became owners of KEDA Radio, La Tejanita on March 17, 1966. She was active in helping the community with KEDA radio, whether it was raising funds, informing the public or spearheading social changes in the 60's 70's and 80's. La Doña of the first family in Conjunto Tejano radio, She was always willing to give anyone a helping hand and had an open door policy to anyone in need. She is preceded in death by parents Albert A. Pena and Dolores Lopez Pena her brothers Albert A. Pena, Richard Pena, and sister Irene Hernandez, her husband Manuel G. Davila and sons Albert Anthony Caballero and Joe Davila. She is survived by her children Manuel Jr. (Rebecca) Richard (Mary Louise) Marcella Blaxland (Christopher) Roy (Elsa) Albert (Rhoda)and Madeline, 18 grandchildren, 33 great grand children many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30am on Monday, August 13, 2012 for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at San Fernando Cathedral.
