Lupe Yanes Riojas

Beloved Wife, Mommy, Grandma, Sister, Tia, Prima, and Friend, aged 78, passed away on November 15, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born in Fentress, Texas on January 6, 1946, Lupe was a cherished member of her community and a beacon of kindness and generosity.

Lupe dedicated many years of her life working as an Independent Contractor for media companies such as Patrick, Eller Media, and Clear Channel Outdoor. In her professional role, she worked alongside her husband, Pedro, and son, Peter, contributing significantly to their shared ventures. She carried their business, in spite of her husband's illness, until their retirement.

A devout parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Lupe's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with those around her.

Lupe had a vibrant personality, always showing immense love and dedication to her family and friends. She enjoyed watching horror movies, the Cooking Channel, and "Gunsmoke." She loved entertaining and attending parties, as well as shopping, playing card games, and spending quality time with her loved ones, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a pillar of strength for her family, and she remained strong until the very end.

She is survived by her husband, Pedro S. Riojas Jr.; her son, Peter S. Riojas III (Bonnie); her daughter, Rachael Mary Oliver (Robert); and her grandchildren, Savannah Guadalupe Garcia (Edgar), Krystle Lauren Ortiz (Richard), Peterkevin Morrow (Katie), Peter S. Riojas IV, and her eleven great- grandchildren. Lupe was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Guadalupe Yanes, and her beloved sisters, Rosario, Diana, Nora, Mary Ann, and Debbie.

Services will be held at Funeraria del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237. The family invites those who knew Lupe to join in celebrating her remarkable life and spirit.

A visitation for Lupe will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary will occur Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A mass of the resurrection will occur Friday, November 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 1204 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237. An interment will occur Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
