Lupe V. Gonzales

Born in Michigan, on June 21, 1940, she was the daughter of Ramona O. and Daniel Velez.

A graduate of Edgewood High School, Howard Payne University and Our Lady of the Lake University, Lupe retired from Northside ISD as an Elementary School Administrator.

She was a strong advocate for children her entire life, working tirelessly to ensure safety, health and education of all children. After retirement, Lupe embarked on travel journeys throughout the world, continuing to learn culture, foods, and lifestyles of all people she encountered.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Raymond) Cumpian and Delma Gonzales; Sisters, Marie V. Silva, Rosalinda (Victor) Ruiz and Evanglina Velez.

Grandchildren: Michelle (Felipe) Hernandez, Ambergail Williams, Thomas Williams, Jr., Zachery Bagley, Aaron Bagley, Alexander Bagley, Jacob Cumpian and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Celebration of Life and Visitation will be Sunday, April 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd., San Antonio, TX 78238.
