Luis Jonathan Medina

Luis Jonathan Medina-Muñoz, age 66, passed away on August 11, 2022 surrounded by his family and friends. Luis was born October 2, 1955 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Luis Medina, and his grandmother Ramona Vega. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, his daughters, Monica and husband Joel, Veronica, Angelica and husband Christopher, mother Carmen Muñoz-Medina, and sister Eira Medina. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Darian, Diego, Daniel, Gabriel, and Isabel.

Luis received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Puerto Rico Mayaguez in 1979. He had a 35 year career in Civil Service to the US Air Force. He married Evelyn Calderon on May 22, 1976 and they raised three daughters in San Antonio, TX. Luis was a fervent student of the Bible and had an inexhaustible love for God, his Family, and the United States of America. Luis would often be found listening to music, playing his guitar, gardening, grilling, and was an avid HAM radio operator.

A visitation for Luis will be held on August 20, 2022 from 5 to 8PM at Sunset Funeral Home located at 1701 Aust Hwy, San Antonio, Texas. Services will be held the following morning at 10AM with the committal service to follow immediately after.
