Lucia C. Ramirez of Poteet, Texas passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Lucia (or Lucy as many knew her) was born in Laredo, Texas on December 22, 1948. She was the middle child and only daughter of Carlos Mario Cabello Sr. and Beatrice Cabello.
Lucy had two daughters, four grandchildren, and one great-grandson; all of whom she loved to spend time with and whom she considered her pride and joy. She was especially proud of their accomplishments: Elizabeth who joined and retired from the United States Navy, Andrea who graduated from the University of Incarnate Word and now works with the San Antonio Fire Department, and her older grandchildren who graduated high school and joined the military. Along with a love for gardening, playing bingo, listening to music, playing cards, and doing word puzzles, Lucia enjoyed watching classic shows such as 'The Andy Griffith Show' and 'I Love Lucy'.
Lucia is preceded in death by her father, Carlos M. Cabello Sr, sister-in-law, Linda Sue Cabello, and sister-in-law, Debbie Vasquez.
She is survived by her mother, Beatrice A. Cabello; her daughters, Elizabeth Ramirez (Louis), and Andrea R. Griffin (Shane); grandchildren, Clarissa Gomez, Victor J. Gomez Jr, Michael A. Gomez, Nolan Griffin, and Liliana Alvarez; great-grandson, Noah Corona Jr.; her brothers, Carlos M. Cabello Jr., Richard Cabello, Alfredo Cabello Sr. (Darlene), and Jesse Cabello; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael A. Gomez, Victor J. Gomez, Jr, Nolan Griffin, Charles Cabello, Roland Cabello, Alfredo Cabello Jr., Louis Alvarez, and Honorary Pallbearer, Noah Corona Jr.
Visitation for Lucia will be on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 5:30 pm till 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Trevino Funeral Home 2525 Palo Alto Rd., San Antonio TX 78211. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Trevino Funeral Home with interment to follow in First Memorial Park, Von Ormy, Tx.
