Lois Manley Hilburn was born October 16, 1925 to Malcolm and Della Arnold Manley in Blum, TX. She passed from this life on July 19, 2013 in San Antonio at the age of 87. Mrs. Hilburn graduated from Rochester High School, attended business school in Haskell and lived and worked around west Texas before settling in San Antonio. She was married for 33 years to E.A. “Bo” Hilburn on January 20, 1956 in Seguin. Mrs. Hilburn was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, a Blue Bird Volunteer at Methodist Hospital for 22 years and was proud to be a life-long Texan.
Mrs. Hilburn was preceded in death by her husband; her only child, Mike Ellyson; four brothers, Francis, Charles, Bobby and Dick Manley; two sisters, Modelle Ballard Barton and Marie Price Aagesen; sister-in-law, Carol Manley; and nephew, George Ballard.
Survivors include daughter-in-law Judie Ellyson of Tucson, AZ; granddaughter Melody Derrick and husband Dan of Gig Harbor, WA; grandson Aaron Ellyson and wife Elizabeth of Tucson, AZ; great granddaughters Astraya Ellyson and Grace Derrick; sisters-in-law Jerry Manley, Janice Manley and Oleta Manley; four nephews and five nieces.

Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 12:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M. with a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
