Linda is survived by her daughter, Ana Irene Garcia; son, Humberto Ramon Garcia; granddaughter, Nadia Juliette Garcia; brother, Ramon (Angela) Ruiz, Jr; her sisters, Elizabeth (Juan) Soto and Regina (Jimmy) Cannon; her niece Katherine Ortiz; nephews, Shaun Ruiz and Brandon Ruiz; and her nieces Jessica Lawrence, Lori Oppelt, Samantha Soto, Bobbi Rae Douglas and Toni Rangel.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, Ramon Ruiz Sr. and mother, Ana Belia Ruiz.
Linda was a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin Business School. She climbed the corporate ladder and was a Chief Financial Officer at the peak of her career.
Reading was Linda’s lifelong hobby; she would often go to the library with her granddaughter and check out several books at a time. Some of her other favorite hobbies included bowling and watching Texas Longhorn Games, especially football.
Linda was an intelligent woman who stood out in life for her strong will, compassion, and supportive nature. She was determined in every goal she set for herself, loving with every encounter, and giving when people needed her most. Among other characteristics, she was accepting and kind.
Linda will be remembered for being an amazing mother and grandmother and for being a great friend. She will be remembered for her generosity and for being at the center of family gatherings. Her hard work and success in her career will not be forgotten. She was a role model for young woman. Linda fought hard to carry on with Huntington’s disease, her perseverance is a testament to her strong will and she will be remembered for her strength.
A Visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to start at 7:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78232. A Funeral Service will occur Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home.
