Laurie Anne Komarek Wyatt, 47, was born in Pasadena, Texas (Galena Park, TX). She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at her home in San Antonio, TX surrounded by her loving husband. She lived most of her life in the greater Houston, TX metro area. She graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1988, went on to San Jacinto College and then to the University of Houston where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree, and then went on to obtain her Teacher’s Certificate. She taught Special Ed in Houston Independent School District. Before teaching, she was a Police Dispatcher for 911.
Laurie was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Komarek, and her mother, Lois Faye Southern Komarek.
Laurie loved her husband, Fred Vincent “Vince” Garcia Norris, and they both served God, the Lord Jesus Christ, his savior. Laurie was smart, tender hearted, a dedicated Special Ed teacher who was very supportive of her students and her husband. She was compassionate and gracious to everyone. She loved traveling, boating, and her Golden Retrievers, Elvis and Ginger.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Fred Vincent “Vince” Norris, her father, Jerry Felix Komarek (wife Patsy) of Friendswood, TX; also, sisters Linda Komarek Radcliff, Diana Komarek Kittley (husband Kallum, daughter Nadine Groce), Suzanne Komarek Silberman (husband Randy), Elaine Komarek Coleman, Julie Komarek and her brother Michael David Komarek. Laurie was loved and cherished by many people including numerous relatives, nieces and nephews.
