Laura Elizabeth Spencer “Betty” entered eternal rest on October 14, 2015 at the age of 88. A native of San Antonio, TX, she was born to Robert Daniel and Florence Evelyn DeSha on November 3, 1926. She reunites with her parents; husband of 59 years, Alfred W. Spencer; brother, Bob; and sister, Carol Truman. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Cadena; Son, Timothy E. Spencer; grandchildren: Daniel, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Tamara, Christopher; great-grandchildren: Dominick, Emily, Macy, Dorian, Fallon; and other relatives and friends. Her life’s work was dedicated to her Lord, her family, and Northwest Hills Baptist Church. She was a devoted woman of God and care giver. Her giving heart allowed her to give her everything when she had nothing. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, playing the piano, and traveling. She will be missed dearly by all the hearts she touched. The family will be receiving guests at Northwest Hills Baptist Church, 6585 Heath Rd; on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery III.
