Laura H. Parks, born August 28, 1932, was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the age of 79. Laura, loving wife, mother and grandmother, was preceded in death by her husband, Glen H. Parks, and her parents, Russell G. and Leta Mae Cochran. She is survived by her sons, Larry Parks and wife Rose, Randy Parks and wife Vickie; daughter, Tracey Bennett and husband Bret; grandchildren, Courtney Parks Fraser and husband Nick, Amanda and Colin Parks, and Braiden and Blaine Bennett; brother, Jerry Cochran and wife Lawanda. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 9:30am at Sunset Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
