Kevin James Kelly, age 66, left this earth on February 25, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Del Rio, TX to the late James V. Kelly, Jr. and Jean R. “Micky” (Robinson) Kelly on January 19, 1955.
Kevin was a graduate of the Class of ’73 at Warner Robins High. He proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force from September 1974, touring in Thailand, Taiwan, Germany, Korea and Saudi Arabia then retiring at Randolph AFB in September 1994. He went on to earn a BBA (2001) and MBA in Accounting (2004) at the University of Texas in San Antonio. After working many years in the civilian world, he returned to his military roots by serving as a government contractor in Kabul and Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. His remaining years were spent creating dream vacations for others with CruiseOne and traveling the world with his wife.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael J. Kelly of Newark, DE; and grandson, Carter D. Woolever of Rapid City, SD. His caring personality is only rivaled by his love for family and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Curran-Kelly; brother, Pat Kelly (Kathy); sisters, Kathryn Gardner (Billy) and Maureen Cooler; children, Erika Haverly-O’Crotty, Kristina Breland and James Kelly (Candice); step-daughters, Teri Toth (Rich) and Michelle Loftus; grandchildren, Alex, Tyson, Emma, Jillian, Kendall, Kayden, Bailey and Jaxon; step-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Aubrey, Jacob, Elijah, Lucas, Michelle II, Joslyn, Emmalyn; and a host of other friends and relatives.
