In the late '70s and '80s, Karin enjoyed disco, rock, and country dancing, often venturing onto the dance floor for one song but staying for six. Karin and her lifelong friend Bebe would spend hours together laughing, dancing, and going to the movies. Karin was always surrounded by family and friends, and when she wasn't hosting gatherings at her house, she was playing card games with her close friends Melinda, Gordon, Peggy, and Raymond. She also enjoyed spending time with her bowling league and two monthly ladies' bunco groups. One of Karin’s favorite things to do was play backgammon with her husband, William.
Karin's home was always open to anyone and was filled with warmth and laughter, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas which both held a special place in Karin's heart. She also loved traveling with friends and family, from camping at Canyon Lake to traveling to St. Louis, Las Vegas, Orange County, Seattle, Chicago, and Corpus Christi. One particularly memorable experience was a three-week vacation to Germany, where she enjoyed time with extended family and was able to return to the family home where she was born.
Karin was also highly committed to her work where her dedication and lively spirit will be dearly missed.
The family of Karin Anni Evans would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Methodist Hospital Texsan, Methodist Hospital San Antonio, St. Matthew's Catholic Church San Antonio, and Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home for their support, guidance, comforting presence, and prayers during this difficult time.
