Jose Angel Flores III

Mr. Jose Angel Flores III, of San Antonio passed away December 30, 2013, at the age of 38. He was born on October 17, in San Antonio to Joe Angel and Dahlia Flores. His father Joe preceded him in death. Mr. Flores was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in San Antonio. He was a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department. Corporal Joe Flores was proud to be a Brother In Blue. He will be remembered as having a heart of gold and having fought like a knight.

Mr. Flores is survived by his wife, Christy and children, Madison, Megan, Myka, Joe Joe and Miranda; mother, Dahlia Flores; sister, Marisol Flores Guffey and her daughter, Alana; sister, Melissa Flores Gonzales and her husband, Peter and their children, Seth, Peter II, Alex, Lucas, Max and Maribella; sister-in-law and her husband, Cindi and Rene Avalos and their children, Kevin and Mila; sister-in-law and her husband, Tiffany and Joe Cruz and their children, Kyla, Mia, Khloe and Adrain; and mother and father-in-law, Lupe and David Straube.

Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo St., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart from the funeral home Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. mass of resurrection at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
