He loved spending time with his family. He was a very proud father and grandfather. He was a fan of any sports activities his grandchildren were involved in and especially loved watching them play baseball/softball. He was a very proud grandpa who enjoyed watching his grandchildren shine.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, caring for his yard and sitting on his front porch drinking coffee with his wife watching the birds enjoying their breakfast and talking about their family sharing memories of times past.
He is preceded in death by his father, Margarito Pineda; mother, Maria Rivera Pineda and sister, Olga Perryman.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa G. Pineda; son, Joe D. Pineda (Rosa); daughter, Maria P. Arriaga; son Gabriel Pineda (Rosalinda); daughter, Tracy A. Alva (Louis); brother, Johnny Pineda, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2023 beginning at 5:00 pm with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, June 8 ,2023 at 9:30am at St. James Catholic Church, 907 W. Theo Ave., San Antonio, Tx 78225 followed by burial at Mission Burial Park South, 1700 S.E. Military Dr., San Antonio, Tx 78214.
