Joe William Loper IV

is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Loper III and Mary Lohmann Loper, and his loving dachshund, Leibchen. He is survived by his long-time companion and friend, Mary Hill; stepmother, Joan Loper; brothers, George Loper (Ann), John Loper (Lorraine); step sisters, Michelle McCall (Joe), Debra Freeman (Jesse), and Margo Brown; five children: Joe Loper V, Carolyn Loper, Kim Steagall, Dennis Trobaugh, and Jennifer Seward and nine grandchildren and his best friend for life, Chuck Berger.

Joe was formerly President of Loper Financial and Executive Vice President of Capital City Mortgage. In his younger years, he owned or managed realty and mortgage offices, ice houses, dry cleaners, and a diaper service in San Antonio and Dallas. He loved his family, traveling with his RV, NASCAR racing and slow dancing. He was attentive to detail and never forgot an anniversary or birthday. He was a great friend, son, brother, father and grandfather. We miss him.

A Memorial Service will be held, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. Arrangements under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.
