Jesus Villareal born on November 1, 1918 in Barbarosa, Texas passed away on February 17, 2014 at the age of 95. He was a devoted, generous and hard working husband and father who worked two jobs so that his family did not do without and also,to be able to vacation outside of Texas. Jesus is preceded in death by his parents; Esiquio and Herlinda Villarreal; brothers, Ramon and Joe J. Villarreal; sisters, Fela Gonzales. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Louise Villareal; daughters, Susan (Jesse ) Soto, Minerva (Rene) Esquivel and Sylvia Villareal; sons, Bob (Angie) Villareal, Jesse Jr. (Marty) Villareal; sister, Amelia Garza. His legacy lives on in 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild. Although their hearts ache, the family knows he is in the presence of the Lord, and for that they rejoice. The Family would like to thank The Veterans Administration, Dr. Norma Cortinas and Sandra Greer, R.N., Christus VNA Hospice and Palliative Care and Christus Sister Mary Hospice Center for their loving care of our dear loved one. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Juanita Aguero, Ana Castillo and Crystal Sandoval for their compassion and care with Dad. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo St. Interment will follow with Military Honors in San Fernando Cemetery No.3.
