Jesus Barron entered into the loving arms of Our Lord on August 19, 2022 at the age of 89. Jesus was born on July 16, 1933 in San Marcos, Texas to Guadalupe De La Cruz and Francisco Barron. He was the second oldest child out of 17.
Jesus was drafted into the United States Army at the tender age of 19. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict, and he was honorably discharged in 1955. Before entering the Army, Jesus started his aviation mechanic career in Civil Service at Kelly Air Force Base. After his discharge from the Army in 1955, Jesus continued serving in the Army Reserves while maintaining his Civil Service career. He was proud of his TDY (Temporary Duty Travel) to England, Thailand, Guam, and several other forts in the United States. He proudly retired in 1989, after 37.5 years. Jesus had several hobbies that he focused on after his retirement. He enjoyed working on home projects, taking family trips to Astro’s and Ranger’s baseball games, and trying his luck at casinos. He was a great dancer; from Tejano to Cumbias.
Jesus met Elena Gutierrez in February of 1981 at a dance. It was love at first sight, and after some light chasing, they got married on May 16, 1981.
Jesus was a respected man, his love for his family knew no bounds. He would always took care of his family - even until the end. He was a loving son and would seek his parents’ advice on big life changes, following their wisdom. Jesus was a perfectionist, all the i’s had to be dotted and the t’s had to be crossed.
Jesus will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Guadalupe and Francisco Barron; sisters, Teresa Barron, Margarita Barron and Irene Barron; brothers, Jose Barron, Gilbert Barron, Felipe Barron, Ruben Barron and Frank Barron.
His memory will forever live with his beloved wife, Elena G. Barron; children, Diana B. (Alan) Dykes, and Jesse Barron; grandchildren, Christy (Gabriel) Garcia, and Ashley (Edward) Adame; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Dominic Mylius, Jacob Garcia, Ryan Edward Adame, Riley Ann Adame; great-great-grandchildren, Aiden Dykes and Layla Mylius. Sisters, Maria Lopez, Alicia Barron, and Oralia Bertetti; and brothers, Rudy Barron, Fred Barron, Charlie Barron, Arturo Barron, and Enrique Barron.
