Jeanette graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1957 where she was a member of the Purple Jackets pep squad, and vice-president of her class all four years.
Jeanette worked as a key-punch operator for City Public Service Board where she met her husband, Walter (Buddy) Peters. She began working as secretary of Castle Hills Elementary School in 1991 and then at Regency Elementary School before retiring.
Jeanette’s greatest joy was her grandsons. In earlier years she enjoyed family vacations spent camping on the beaches of Corpus Christi with extended family and driving trips to Disney World or the mountains in Colorado. She also loved playing bunco with her ladies’ monthly bunco group.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her grandson, Dylan Morgan. She is survived by her daughter, Allison Peters; daughter, Jennifer Peters Morgan; son-in-law, Paul Morgan; and grandson, Brad Morgan.
A visitation for Jeanette will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A graveside service will occur Monday, December 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mission Burial Park Dominion, 20900 IH 10 W, San Antonio, TX 78257.
