Jean loved to reminisce about her time growing up in England. She adored her father and spoke of him often; he passed away when she was very young. So, it was just her and her mum and so she went to work at a young age. Her first job was in a furrier shop on the high street in Ipswich, England and she really loved to model the coats for the customers. This is where her love for fashion began as she continued to work in retail department stores; Bruner’s at the Valley Hi Mall, and then at several Weiner’s store locations, until she retired at the age of 63. Her oldest and dearest friends were made while working at these stores.
Jean loved the Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys and would never miss a game. She also loved watching Dancing with the Stars, Downton Abby, and any other British programs. Her favorite things were hot tea, sweets, peanut butter M&M’s, Chico’s jewelry and anything with animal print. She also loved plants and flowers and could always “bring them back.” Her dearest companion and roommate these past few years has been her kitty, Marmalade, as you can see by her photo.
Those that are left to mourn the loss of this beautiful and lovely lady are her daughters Debra Jean (Christopher) Dietrich and Sandra Marie (William) Crisp; her son, John Edward (Jennifer) Anderson Jr.; her grandchildren, Joshua Daniel Dietrich, John Edward (Sheila) Anderson III, Mason Drew (Erica) Anderson; and her great-grand children Isabel Rosalin (10), Joshua Christopher (8), Addisyn Sophia (6), Carmela Marie (5), Blake Alexander (4) and Colton Nathaniel (4).
Jean is reunited in heaven with her beloved granddaughter, Brittanie Dietrich, whom we lost in December 2015 along with her family and friends that have gone before her.
Jean has friends and relatives here and in England that are thinking of her. She will be missed every day from all who loved her. Please help her family celebrate her life by sharing your warm memories of Jean in the guest book below.
