Jay is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Helen Mendoza and brothers, Ike Mendoza Jr., Ronald Mendoza.
Jay is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roberta Mendoza; children, Jay Mendoza Jr., Jennifer Marie Mendoza Arndt; grandchildren, Zoey Emma Arndt, Izel Taylor Arndt, Paxton Ike Arndt, Amelia Rose Mendoza, and Hector Berg Mendoza; brother, Rene Mendoza, sisters, Ruth Mendoza, Helen Mendoza and Darlene Mendoza.
Visitation will be on April 16, 2024 at 7:00 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Road 78251 with a rosary at 7:30 PM.
The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 8:30 AM on April 17, 2024 for a 9:00 AM mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 623 E. Commerce 78205 with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Air Force honors.
