Janet Marie Glover Hinton was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 11, 1957 and also died in San Antonio on June 9, 2014. She resided in Austin , but lived all over the globe as an Air Force daughter and later, an Air Force wife. The oldest child of Kelly and Darlene Glover, Janet leaves them behind along with two sisters, three daughters, nine grandchildren, and countless extended family and friends. She was loved, respected and cherished for all that she was in life. She was married to her best friend, Harry, for 32 (and a half) years. They were active members of the Southern Cruisers Motorcycle Club, who knew her as Red. Together they shared a mass of adventures out on the open road. When they weren’t on their bike, you might find them sailing on luxury cruise ships, exploring exotic islands and sharing joyous vacations with their dearest friends. Janet was a valued member of the United Heritage Credit Union family since November 1999. She loved her job and was very proud of her position, working directly for the Senior VP of Operations. She went above and beyond in everything she did, personally and professionally.
Warm and welcoming, she always made you feel like you were part of her family. Her daughters were friends. Her friends were sisters and brothers. She was an incredible grandmother (Gigi). Dedicated to each and every one of her grandchildren, she always encouraged them to be the best they could be and remain individuals. Janet set a shining example for everyone around her, always staying positive no matter what the obstacle might be. She lived her life with a passion for adventure and creativity. She left beauty wherever she went. Our family has a special request...it is very important that we all come together to celebrate the beautiful life Janet lived. In honor of that, we ask that people wear beautiful colors instead of anything dark and dreary. No black, brown, navy, etc. We want to look out at our wonderful friends and family and have it be like a field of spring flowers...full of life.
