James C. Willingham went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the age of 92. He was born in Abilene, Texas on May 16. 1923.
James was preceded in death by his father, Finis Jesse Willingham and his mother, Amanda Mae Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Willingham; his children: Patrick James Willingham and spouse Alberta of San Antonio, Texas; Mearlyn Yvette Willingham Cornett and spouse Maurice of LaVernia; and James Rene Willingham and spouse Hope of Trophy Club, Texas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great, great-grandchildren as well as many friends.
James grew up in East Texas and later lived on a farm in Georgetown. He was a member of Cornerstone Church, an Alzafar Shriner (Sons of Hiram) and a Master Commander of York Rite.
Viewing and Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home in San Antonio. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 27, 2015 beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Boots Levine officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
