It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jacinto L. Garcia, who left us on November 23, 2024, at the age of 76. Jacinto was born on July 5, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas, to Romolo Garcia and Ramona Losoya.
A man of many passions, Jacinto touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a dedicated member of the St. Jude Children's Hospital, supporting its mission to help children in need. His love for sports was boundless; Jacinto found joy playing tennis, football, and had a passion for basketball, his heart belonged to the San Antonio Spurs, and he was a loyal and devoted fan for many years.
Outside of sports, Jacinto had an enduring appreciation for classic films, often enjoying old-fashioned movies with family and friends. He also found joy in power walking, a pastime that kept him active and connected to nature.
Jacinto’s warm personality, generous spirit, and love for life will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a beloved husband, brother and friend. His legacy of kindness, passion, and dedication to his family and community will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Jacinto reunites in heaven with parents; Romolo G and Ramona L. Garcia, his two younger brothers; Henry L. Garcia and Ricky L. Garcia.
Jacinto's memory will forever live in the hearts of his wife; Mary Lou R. Garcia, brother; Romolo L Garcia, George L. Garcia (Dorothy), sisters; Yolanda Garza, Sandra G. Fuentes (Augustin), and numerous nieces and nephews, god-sons; George Garcia Jr., David J. Fuentes, Joe Anthony Lopez.
The Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 followed by a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.
The Services will conclude in the chapel.
