Irene I. Morgan

She was preceded in death by her parents Tiburcio and Lina Rios, in-laws Merritt and Alta Morgan. Her brothers Francisco Rios, Enrique Rios, and brother-in-law David Morgan. Her nieces Patricia Torres and Regina Rios.

She is survived by her husband Matthew S. Morgan, daughters Genevie (Stephen) Hartlieb, Cynthia Toney (Victor Carranza), Ashley (Anthony) Morgan, and son David Morgan (Johana Olivares). Her brothers Ramon Rios (Cindy Flores), and Gilbert Rios. Her sisters Elvira Delgado, Linda Torres, Elvira Ybarra (Juan Rangel), Alicia Medina, Mary Ann Rutten, Virginia Rios, Lina (Amador) Cantu, Rose Mary Rios (James Carroll), Leticia (John) Favela, numerous nieces, and nephews. Her sisters-in-law Paula (Bill) Levay, Sheryl (Doug) Nespory. Her brothers-in-law Greggory Morgan (Joyce), Todd (Lisa) Morgan. Her grandchildren Xavier Serrato, Alyssa Serrato, Daniel Serrato, Jalynn Hartlieb, Gavin Heredia, Preasley Toney, June Mills, Kaylee Carranza, Ezra Carranza, Aaliyah Carranza, and Aden Hernandez.

Irene worked alongside her parents and siblings as a migrant worker growing up. Graduate of Edgewood class of 1977. She retired from the San Antonio Independent School district after 30 years of service. She had a passion for softball, volleyball, bowling, darts, pool, and dancing. Irene was a hard worker, who loved her family and friends very much. She gave her life to Christ, knowing that she has entered heaven gives us peace.
