Irene U. Gonzales

Irene U. Gonzales, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister went home to the Lord on February 22, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born in Sonora, Texas on October 10, 1928 to Jesus and Leocadia Urias. She was a longtime member of Iglesia Bautista El Calvario. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Evaristo A. Gonzales; daughters, Edna Gonzales, Sylvia G. Losoya and husband Alfredo; grandson, who was raised like a son, Mark A. Gonzales; other grandchildren: Alfredo G., Alexander, and Albert Losoya, Jennifer Gonzales; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister Vita Galindo and sister-in-law, Anita Urias. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2015 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Iglesia Bautista El Calvario, 2522 W. Houston (78207).
