Irene "Nena" Gil, born on October 19, 1943 in Poteet, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2023 at the age of 79.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fidencio & Irenia Coronado; beloved husband, Richard Rodriguez Gil and son in law, James Santos.
She is survived by her children, Maricel Gil Medina (John), Carrie Gil Pagan (Tony), Richard Gil Jr. and Joseph Gil (Gloria); 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; also surviving are her siblings: Eufracia "ChaCha", Raul, Maria and Evangelina; numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Nena will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
