Hilario Martinez born on September 29, 1938 in Spring Branch, TX went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2012 at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Benita Martinez; also, 2 sisters, Francisca Gutierrez and Guadalupe Flores; 5 brothers, Timoteo, Jesus Jr., Ramon, Francisco and Pedro Martinez. He is survived by his sisters; Manuela Portillo and Juana M. Silvas; brothers, Jose Martinez and Juan Martinez; also, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews. Hilario loved to be outdoors and was ready to predict the weather. He enjoyed going to the flea markets and was an avid collector of stamps and coins. He loved animals and enjoyed feeding his and the neighborhood cats. Visitation will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday October 25, 2012 followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday October 26, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph (So. San) Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Hwy. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
