Guillermo "Billy" Martinez

Guillermo (Billy) Martinez was born on September 8, 1955, in Slaton, TX to Guadalupe and Guadalupe Martinez. He was raised in San Antonio and was a proud graduate of Harlandale High School in 1975. He served in The United States Marine Corps as an aircraft mechanic, where he transitioned out and later retired from Boeing. On May 10, 1986, he married Alicia Herrera, and together they raised three daughters, Martha, Guadalupe, and Angela.

Billy had a passion for aviation and classic cars. His favorite hobby was fishing and enjoyed taking his friends out on his boat every chance he could. He was a simple and generous man who gave his life to the Lord and was faithful to give to those less fortunate. He took a lot of pride in being an American and a U.S. Marine. Billy will best be remembered as a man of true grit.

Billy is preceded in death by his father Guadalupe, his mother Guadalupe, and his sister Herlinda. He is survived by his wife Alicia, his three daughters Martha, Guadalupe, and Angela, his grandchildren, Aaron, Aaliyah, Tatiana, Lucia, and Ezra, and his brothers Norbert and Jimmy and his sisters Alicia, Francis, Becky, Rosemary as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
