Lupe dedicated her life to caring for her family, meeting new people, learning new things, going on road trips, gardening, cooking with family and friends, and volunteering.
Lupe is preceded in death by Faustino Sanchez, Lina Guzman Sanchez, Faustino G. Sanchez, Jr, Alfonso G. Sanchez and Joe G. Sanchez.
Lupe will always be remembered by her children Eric Lara, Monica Rivera and Shelly Charo. Her siblings Faustino G. Sanchez, Estella (Sanchez) Garcia, Lilia (Sanchez) Tamez and Fred G. Sanchez. Her grandchildren Brianna, Abigail, Leanna, Deanna & Mark and her 7 great grandchildren whom she loved all dearly.
Lupe retired honorably from the Department of the Army after 21 years, 13 years at Fort Sam Houston, TX, 8 years at Ft Belvoir, VA and she also worked 18 years for H.E.B. Lupe’s presence was always apparent when she walked into a room, she wore her heart on her sleeve, she loved road trips, family gatherings, family dinners at ma’s house, and she will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, her swag & spiciness, unconditional love, Resilience, her Camero’s and packing all the kids into the station wagon for a drive.
The Charo family extends an invitation to friends and family to honor the loving memory and celebrate the life of Guadalupe S. Charo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM with a 7:00PM Rosary and Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 8:00AM to 9:15AM at Trevino Funeral Home 226 Cupples Road San Antonio, TX 78237. A Mass service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 to begin at 10:00AM San Martin de Porres 1730 Dahlgreen Ave, San Antonio, TX 78237 for anyone that would like to join the family. Interment will follow services at San Fernando Cemetery II.
