George W. "Bill" also known as "Coach", Shively Jr., age 76, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Monday December 24, 2018. Bill was born July 6,1942. He was preceded in death by his father George W. Shively, Sr., mother Ann Christ Shively, and his wife Estefana A. Shively.
Bill received his undergraduate degree at Kentucky Wesleyan College, and then earned his master's degree at Trinity University. Bill coached at Harlandale High School, Trinity University, and was a football coach for Holmes High School for over twenty-five years. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, and a lifelong Penn State fan.
A visitation for Bill will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. There will be a funeral service at 12:00PM, followed by a committal service at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity University Library in memory of Bill "Coach" Shively.
